Advanced Centerless Grinder
Final Report of NCMS Project No. 150311 (October 1998)
The NCMS Advanced Centerless Grinder project is helping to
generate a U.S. supplier infra-structure to support
superabrasive grinding technology. The work began as a result of
the NCMS “U.S. Grinding Partnership - 2000 Study*,” which
identified a need for a U.S.-produced, low-cost, compact,
advanced centerless grinder capable of efficiently using
superabrasive grinding wheels. Project participants built and
evaluated three prototype grinders, which ultimately met this
need. This 72-page report describes project activities and
results, including market analysis and prototype design and
evaluation.
The NCMS member price is $75.00 per copy ($100.00 for
non-members), plus shipping and handling for each report. Add 6%
sales tax for sales within Michigan.
