This Act has important new requirements for maintaining the privacy of personal financial information that apply to a wide range of organizations. A surprisingly large spectrum of institutions will be required to establish and enforce a data privacy program under GLBA, but there is substantial flexibility in how the security requirements will be applied.

This 25 minute course will teach you how to determine whether your organization is subject to the requirements of GLBA. This is not always a bright line – so it may ultimately be a negotiated decision. We will also help you understand the difference between private and public personal financial information and why the distinction is important.
