In Chapter one of this module you will learn about the structure of the standard and some key reference documents. In addition, we will be discussing some of the major changes from the prior standard, as well as the reasons for some of those changes. In Chapter 2 we will discuss the general requirements for the structure and content of a Quality Management System

In Chapter 3 of this module we will discuss the significantly expanded role and responsibilities of top management in the quality management system. Chapter 4 will cover the almost entirely new requirements for the planning and management of resources.

In Chapter 5 we will discuss the requirements for the planning, development and provision (production and delivery) of the product to the customer. In addition, we will be addressing monitoring, measurement and control of both the product and the processes to ensure both process capability and product conformity to requirements.

In Chapter 6 we will discuss monitoring, measurement and the analysis of data to drive continual improvement and to support effective decision making. We will then review the key points discussed in the course.
