The Security Awareness Fundamentals & Education (SAFE) program is a general-knowledge course intended for anyone with an interest in personal and professional safety. It was designed by NCMS Educational Services in order to address the increasing need for security awareness at home and in the workplace.

NCMS Educational Services solicited subject matter experts in the fields of workplace violence, crime prevention, personal safety, counter-terrorism, and military special operations to assist in the development of the SAFE course. The course is taught by Larry Porte, a 25-year veteran of the United States Secret Service and a former Detroit police officer.

SAFE will cover general issues of personal security in six targeted modules intended to improve your overall awareness of hazard analysis techniques as well as tactics for dealing with crisis situations.
